Despite its peaceful, away from it all atmosphere, Shroton (Iwerne-Courtney)
is easily accessible, lying on the A350 between Blandford and Shaftesbury.
From the North
The Cricketers is about 7 miles from Shaftesbury through delightful
Dorset countryside. From Shaftesbury, head south along the A350, signposted
Blandford Forum. After 5 miles or so you will pass through Iwerne Minster.
A few hundred yards after leaving it keep an eye out for the right turn
signed Shroton (or Iwerne Courtney). The Cricketers is in the centre
of the village overlooking the green.
From the South
The Cricketers is about 5 miles from Blandford. From the town, head
north along the A350 signposted Shaftesbury. Pass through the village
of Stourpaine and about 2 miles further on you will see the left turn
for Shroton. Follow the road straight into the village and you will
find yourself at The Cricketers.
